Ontario's LTB resolves disputes between landlords and tenants and gives them information about their rights and responsibilities.

Legal Aid Ontario provides legal assistance for low-income people.

If you have a dispute with your landlord, you can work with the Rental Housing Enforcement Unit to solve the problem.

AUDITS & COMPLIANCE

Apartment buildings that are three or more storeys and 10 or more units are required to register with the City of Toronto’s RentSafeTO program and undergo building evaluations at least once every two years.

The Fire Inspection Results portal shows properties where inspections have been conducted by a Toronto Fire Services fire inspector. This includes properties where violations have been found which are required to be fixed for compliance at the time with the Ontario Fire Code, FPPA and Municipal Code.

The Investigation Activity application provides residents with information regarding all investigation activity conducted by the Municipal Licensing & Standards on any property within the City of Toronto.
